The Avengers MOVIE REVIEW

Some of my favorite superheroes team up and deliver possibly the most fun I've ever had watching a movie.
The Avengers is what we've been building up to since we first saw 2008's Iron Man.  Marvel Studios has since brought us The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor, and Captain America: The First Avenger.  So how good will this ensemble movie be when we put them all together?  With the direction of Joss Whedon, I can say that we got over two hours of action, drama, and more humor than expected and I can say that I haven't ever been into a movie as much as this one.  The movie starts out with Loki (from Thor) showing up on earth and stealing the tesseract, a cube that houses a lot power and energy. This causes Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) to bring all of the earth's mightiest heroes together to fight Loki and his alien army.  Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark (Iron Man) delivers many funny one-liners (sometimes a little too much), Tom Hiddleston's Loki gives a villain who we will be remembering for a long time, and Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner (Hulk) proves to be the Bruce Banner we have been waiting for.  Oh, and the Hulk steals the show towards the end, delivering the best scene of the movie ("Puny Gods" anyone?).  I also feel that if you had any doubts about Chris Evans as Captain America before, that you get a real sense of the Captain in this film and can throw those doubts out the window.  Chris Hemsworth gives us another good turn as Thor, but I feel he was underused in this one.  Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) aren't necessarily needed in this film, but we do get some cool scenes involving Hawkeye during the final battle and some nice eye candy from Scarlett throughout.  And I can't forget Clark Gregg's Agent Coulson, who finally gets more screen time, including a funny interaction with Captain America and he is the one that helps bring our heroes together and become a team (Spoilers!!). Many of us hoped we'd get an Avengers movie at some point and now our prayers have been answered and I couldn't be more happy with the final product.
...AND SIMPLY PUT ONE OF IF NOT THE BEST SUPERHERO MOVIE EVER!! A-
