Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted MOVIE REVIEW

In the third installment of this family franchise, the fun is at an all-time high and animation has never looked better.
Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted brings back all the familiar faces (and voices) from this popular animated series along with some newbies to help make this third installment better and more colorful than the previous films.  Our returning favorites Alex, Marty, Melman, Gloria, Julien, Maurice, and Mort are all back and voiced by the all returning cast (Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, Jada Pinkett Smith, Sacha Baron Cohen, Cedric the Entertainer, Andy Richter).  Picking up from the previous film, our characters are still in Africa trying to get back home to New York.  The penguins and monkeys have left the group and gone to Monte Carlo.  Tired of being homesick, the group decides to head to Monte Carlo as well and regroup with the penguins and the monkeys, who are busy hitting up casinos.  Once the animals make their way to the casino, chaos ensues.  This leads hotel security to call Animal Control Captain Chantel DuBois (Francis McDormand).  After being chased through the city, the animals jump on a train that belongs to a circus.  This is where they meet some new friends.  The circus crew, which consist of Vitaly (Bryan Cranston), Gia (Jessica Chastain), Stefano (Martin Short), and a few others have not been doing so well as of late due to a problem with Vitaly's act.  Alex and his friends attempt to help bring new life to the circus by coming up with new and exciting stunts while still on the run from Captain DuBois.  Overall, I love the casting here, from the original cast to the new additions.  But, Francis McDormand as Captain DuBois is by far my favorite.  She delivers a menacing french accent to match the character spot on.  The film is fun and entertaining (and not for to the kiddos).  There is a lot of humor in it for us adults as well.  The animation is great and the colors here are jaw dropping, especially during the chase in Monte Carlo and all of the circus scenes.  This is one movie that you'll want to display on your HDTVs, and not just because the image and animation are quite a feat, but also the movie itself is just overall fun.
...AND SIMPLY PUT GO CHECK IT OUT (EVEN IF YOU DON'T HAVE KIDS). B
