BOX OFFICE PREVIEW: October 19-21, 2012

This weekend we have 2 new major releases.  First, the fourth installment of a popular horror franchise.  And second, a movie based on a popular series of mystery books written by James Patterson.  Paranormal Activity 4 and Alex Cross.
...AND WE'VE GOT ALL THE INFO YOU NEED BEFORE YOU HEAD OUT THIS WEEKEND.

PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 4

The story takes place in 2011, five years after Katie killed her boyfriend Micah, sister Kristi, her husband Daniel and took their baby, Hunter (now named Robbie). Story focuses on Alice and her mom, experiencing weird stuff since the new neighbors (Katie and Robbie) moved in the town.

 ALEX CROSS

Alex Cross follows the homicide detective/psychologist (Tyler Perry), from the worldwide best-selling novels by James Patterson, as he meets his match in a serial killer (Matthew Fox). The two face off in a high-stakes game of cat and mouse, but when the mission gets personal, Cross is pushed to the edge of his moral and psychological limits in this taut and exciting action thriller.

MY THOUGHTS
PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 4 looks like more of the same, which means it should lead to a good turnout this weekend.  Let's just hope it brings everything that the last 3 films brought to the table.  ALEX CROSS looks to have potential.  I'm not sold on Tyler Perry, who's finally out of his comfort zone, as Alex Cross.  After Morgan Freeman, Perry definitely has some big shoes to fill.  This film does look more action packed than the Freeman films and Matthew Fox looks crazy in the films.
SO WHAT SHOULD YOU GO SEE?
1. ARGO (IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET)
2. PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 4
3. ALEX CROSS
